Many times a broken point was re used and fashioned into a hafted scraper. please submit your pictures along with what what county and state it was found. You may post up to three separate examples. Make three separate posts. Please not three different pictures in one post. The artifact needs to be stone. This contest will be judged by the forum community at large. Please do not use the like button until all of the pictures are in!
The winner will receive an Extra Large sized Arrowheads.com Tee Shirt and a surprise gift from yours truly. You may post pictures up until Wednesday April 20th. On that date we will begin the first round of judging.
The scraper must be stemmed! Made of stone and legally found. Please post a single picture with County and State found. Thank you and good luck. This quartz scraper is a Personal find of mine from Litchfield CO CT. not an entry! Click image for larger version

      Characteristics of a hafted scraper:
      1. Repurposed broken or worn point.
      2. Steep bevel on the distal end.
      3. Bifaced
      4. A stem or notches made for hafting.

Some, might have started out and intended to be hafted scarpers.
Maybe not repurposed but on purpose. Cool artifacts

...and here's the second... also found in Schoharie County, NY. I'm not sure of the type, but I believe this one is also made of Onondaga Chert.

Second is an Adena Dickson base I believe. Burlington and the tip has tremendous polish from use. Field find.

I really like the scrapers and had a tough time narrowing it down to three from Tennessee.
