I know there is a week left in the year but lets get this started anyway. Lets see your favorite(s) of 2012.

In June 2010 I fell in a stairwell in work. I have not been able to do much since then. Try as I might and after one surgery and a ton of PT I am able to limp around. Getting out twice this year was a blessing to me for sure. I will never be able to scramble like I once did but I at least can still go look on a good day!
That is what makes this my best for 2012. Found in November 2012 I also had a scrapper from another day out. Click image for larger version Name:	tnpts_2012-12-23.jpg Views:	1 Size:	132.8 KB ID:	230059

It was a soft year for finding. I was just coasting and had only a few outings, the points were field grade. But I was able to get out and meet some fellow members and hunt with a "Friend" and fellow member. For me this has been an exceptional year. Here is what I did find, the Drill was my best find. I look forward to 2013.

SOMEHOW THIS DIDNT GO IN THE BEST OF 2012 TOPIC, sorry, but here is my best of 2012. hope to get more like this in 2013.

              Posted by [pkfrey]
If you found this pipe, then you have exact provenance on it. Why go to the expense of a long drive, plus authentication fees, to have done, what you already know, it's authentic. There's only one scenario where it couldn't be authentic. That is, if someone planted it for you to find. But if you know for sure that didn't happen, then by the fact you personally found it, it is authentic. And by taking it to an authenticater, you take a chance the guy doesn't think it's authentic.

Not big on quality with the water wear but certainly my most exciting to date.....the rare New England Hardaway...it was fun corresponding with area and regional experts to get their opinions.....very cool!

because!!! the person that buys it will like to know that it was scientifically proven to be authentic. every1 that has ever held it knows so, but, the price it will bring is well worth the $125.00 to get it done. thanks for the concerne .

Thank yall. 2012 has been my first year of really hunting for artifacts though I have always been interested, cant wait to see what next year holds! here are my best of the year, not quite comparable to some of yalls but im grateful for each find.

Im pretty sure it is a rice side notch. It's about the biggest rice side notch I have ever seen. Most the rices I find around here range from 1-2 inch.
