  • My best day ever (last fall)

I've been holding back for some time on this day I had. I guess I don't know why, but went home from work early with a cold, so thought I would post this. I've been to this spot several times, but after a bunch of rain last fall, I thought I would try it again. I felt guilty not having some family help me. It was like walking into a candy store and saying, I'll have this one and this one, and that one over there....etc. Anyway, thanks for looking. I'll show the points in this post, and then the scrapers in a different one, and then the knives in a third.

Some really nice flaking on a couple of these KRF points. Almost looks early on the concave one. Not sure about it. I almost thought it looked paleo. I also think they repaired the little chip out of the pelican lake corner notched point. It looks repaired to me. I have never seen a chip repaired besides resharpening the whole edge, but it looks like they just did a little more edge work on it to get rid of the break. Maybe not....

I was going to mention, in case you didn't notice the flake lying there in a previous picture, but it was an endscraper. That was two artifacts within inches of each other. Click image for larger version

Maybe the dog is a good luck charm. My favorite is the last on the top row. All are great and thanks for showing them.

That's my favorite too. Quite different from what I usually find.

That's a good day for sure. Six is my best Do like the material.

Wow that's some beautiful material! What a day thanks for showing. I've tried before and after pheasant hunting to find a SD artifact 20 days worth only one flake so far. Aberdeen area private farms. Love the KRF!

Aberdeen is 60 miles from me. I've never hunted down there, but I'm sure there are some good spots.

Dang! And they are all just laying there waiting for you to pick them up. If you ever need me to carry the bucket for you Gary, let me know.

Trust me Greg, these days are few and far between, but they were just lying there on the clay waiting for someone to come by. The snow has melted here, so I'm going to look Sat. and see if anything else shows up.

This was the same spot I took my mom to later, which I already shared, and she found a nice one too.
