    Adena type is mostly found in the upper Ohio Valley. Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and also in surrounding states. Large, rounded stem, triangular blade. Normally thin and well made and sometimes ground. Late archaic to early woodland in age.

    Time Period : 800 B.C to 100 B.C.
    Location : Eastern to Southeastern states.
    Shape : Stemmed

    Description:
    A medium to large, thin, narrow, triangular blade that is sometimes serrated, and with a medium to long, narrow to broad rounded "beaver tail" stem. Most examples are from average to excellent quality. Base can be ground.
