      Hardin - classic example
      Posted by [rmartin]

First stage Hardin (or at least nearly so), 3 1/2 inches long and 2 inches wide. Typology Note: The Hardin is an Early Archaic knife form dating between 7500 B.C. and 6500 B.C. Resharpened examples are usually alternately beveled and basal edges are ground. The type was named for examples found near Hardin, Illinois in Calhoun County.

I keep six honest serving-men (they taught me all I knew); Their names are What and Why and When and How and Where and Who.
