  • Hello from Minnesota

Hello everyone, I've always been interested in archeology but am new to artifact collecting. The info on this site has already been very helpful and I'm hoping to get some insight on items I'm finding near my own backyard here in southern Minnesota. Looking forward to starting this great new hobby.

Thanks for the welcome! Here are some pics of what I've found so far, mostly small pieces and no points yet.

Im looking at your photo and the larger item top left, in your other thread I suggested maybe that was a spall. In the lighting of your newest picture I think I can see two long flake scars running across the smooth side of that piece. This makes me think it could be a blade core for lamellar type blades. A closer photo in indirect natural light that helps show the flake scars would be needed to confirm this possibility.
