    This stone was over half an inch thick but it thinned down real nice. I like how this Carter Cave Chert flakes.

      Hey Bruce, I just put the calipers on it and it measures 3/16 inch thick.

      Ron - I noticed that that point has quite a grain running through it. Does that help or hinder your knapping process. Awesome work - as usual. ...Chuck

        On some stone the lines will cause the flake to step rather than feather out. Not the case here: This stone is fused and I saw no problem sending a flake across the lines.

      Thats a nice small point Ron. Thats the first piece of CC I've seen with banding like that, pretty darn interesting, reminds me of tiger stripes...
