  • Hornstone and Horse Creek Points

I broke off a real nice KY Hornstone Spall and knapped a 4 inch point that i like. Then i knapped a Horse Creek point with a black tip. I am happy with both so call it quits for today.

Makes me wonder if some of the nicer quality black points I have are Kentucky hornstone instead of Kanawha. The Kanawha I've gathered personally is extremely hard and low quality grainy stuff. Loving those flake scars. Sheesh you got some skill

Good stuff Ron! Those both have a real authentic look to them. I can't wait to see your HCC frame!

Thanks Josh, I have 14 Horse Creek points right now. I will need at least double that number to make my frame because they are dart points. No big blades.
