  • Best In-Situ Contest Entry

We would like to see Your best In-Situ's from 2015 and this topic is an area for The photos. Just one photo from each artifact would be best for setting up The contest in January so there is plenty of time to get it situated. We will be using a poll for the contest's this time. There will be a Prize for Winner of this Contest, likely A New Overstreet Guide!

Here is a good example of what You're In-Situ might look like. Click image for larger version

So for those of you who need help with the identification. It is an 1861 US Seated quarter.

Sure the base metal is missing. It was made at a time when things were real.

Why would anything that beautiful want to hide?

Ya know, sometimes all you have to do is read a tutorial. Anyway, after learning how to properly insert a photo (thanks Roger) here's my best insitu from this summer. Gonna sit the contest out but still wanted to share again. Click image for larger version

                      Hello Bruce,
Yes that was a very large Megalodon Shark Tooth. It was broke at the tip. Deffinately not the prettiest one I have ever found but any time I find one of these I'll take it no matter how it looks.

Although it is a great in-situ it isn't an artifact and that makes the photo unable to enter i believe. Sorry Bobby, but it is a very neat find though. Never found one myself.
