In life there are losers and finders. Which one are you?

Alright, since no one else has entered any finds yet, I'll put this in to get the ball rolling. I realize it's not the greatest find, but I like it. I think it's my first corner notch. I have seen others post some great stuff but no entrees here yet. I'm sure I'll be cannon fodder if some of those get entered, but that is ok. By the way, as long as I have some eyes on this. Any chance it's a Palmer? I know it's not really serrated but could have been retouched a bit.
I found this nice little point the other day. Got lucky again with the down pour that stops right after work when I can squeeze in a quick hunt. New wash outs,

I'm back! I am just throwing in this one for kicks.

Found in southern Georgia in a sand field. Yes, that's right: A sand field. I think that it is a Pineallas. Please forgive the spelling.

I watched the video last night, and I love your reaction when you pull it out. "Wow." That's a nice looking creek you got, so keep looking!

Let us not forget that finding tiny points such as mine, are a rarity. Especially if its sand colored, in a sand field.

I am Kentucky point, and I approve this message.

Found this today...came out from under the stump. Some of that exquisite moss agate. Super sharp. Glows! Small ding on base. Middle of Montana.

These next couple months should be loaded with entries. I can see it slowing down again from Dec-Feb. Maybe our southern folks can keep us going through the winter. I'll still be hunting in those months. I don't like to walk away from a hunt empty handed, even if it means picking up reduction flakes.

Agreed. October plowing begins down here, and I will try to get permission from a few of the locals. After that, there is really nothing much to look forward to until spring.

Don't underestimate those winter months and what a good snow melt can reveal. I've found points in the dead of winter. You just have to be willing to frrreeeze your butt off for it.

We have a type of rock here, found only in one place, at the crater of diamonds state park. It looks a lot like that. I don’t remember what it’s called, but it is greenish and streaky...but I don’t know if it’s hard enough to make a point from. It is diamond bearing though....

Welcome folks to this September Find of the Month Contest! To our left corner, we have the returning contestant, flintguy! To our right corner, It's me! The returning winner of last months contest! To our bottom left, is Cskelton bringing a cool knife! To our final corner, is Pointheadwith with a black point! Crammed in the middle are Broken Arrow, scwalker and OnewiththewilD with there own really cool artifacts! Why are they crammed in the middle? Because there are no more corners! Would anybody else like to join in this epic battle of arrowhead (and pipe) finding titans!? One shall reign supreme! Who will it be!?

Lol. You're funny, youngster. I hope we get more entries. We're going to need a good voter turnout this month, hopefully we can get up around 30 votes like a few months ago, if like to see more than that though.

  • #15
This one will be tough.. looks like our Big Sky friend is leading for my vote...that dendritic stalactite or whatever it is ...just stunning, but then the lith and craftsmanship on Jay’s point...holy cow...
    and then there’s the pipe.

I may may have to commit voter fraud.

Ha ha! I wondered if it was possible, until I thought of this: Why would Bruce create a voting system so that contestants can vote for themselves multiple times? We would have a million votes!
