Even the frames have to be built bigger in TX..could not fit everything in this one. Jay, I’m still blown away by your generosity! For a guy that has roamed 30 years in mostly plowed fields finding on average 1 1/2” arrowheads, this is a special treat. I tried my best to do them right. I’m gonna hang them on the wall and smile at them everyday. The scrapers will probably sit on top so I can fondle them often. Always been a fan of scrapers and you gifted me some gems. Thanks again and Merry Christmas 🎄.2 Photos

I had gone to Cooke Co Tx 20 years ago dreaming of finding some big old points. It was a dig with Dr. Gramley and 24 other ASAA members close to the Red River. I actually found the first 3 points of the dig, I felt like maybe I was gonna end up floating in the Red River lol. The first point I saw falling through the 1/4” screen! A sharpened down huffaker point that makes a dime look large! We found a lot of cool little points that week. My biggest find was an 1 1/2” gary point on a cow path. Sweet memories time really does fly. I vowed to return one day for my corner tang, haven’t made it back yet but Jay’s gift may have me skipping out on a Tennessee trip in a year or two..

You're welcome! All pieces come from NW Scott county MO. I tried to give an accurate representation of the types of artifacts I find, from pottery to points, flake tools, cortical scrapers, and blades. I can still remember finding each one of those pieces.

If you get to looking at that one beat up point you can see that it lost its tip and one side to an impact fracture!

That reddish colored point is made from heat treated novaculite.

I would like to thank Kentuckypoint aka Ethan.
He sent me a nice combo package of personal finds and hand made items.
The top row are items he made himself. And the bottom row are items he found. Either by eye or while swinging the magic walking stick. Ethan, I hope all of your ambitions are self fulfilling wishes.Last edited by 2ndoldman; 01-13-2021, 12:14 PM.Bruce
