  • Member of the month of February (Bone2stone)

Jessy, (Bone2stone) has been a member of Arrowheads.com since 2011. He has a broad base of knowledge of artifacts with attention to fossils. Jessy has been a member that has given to other members both on the site as well as taking field trips with members. Jessy has been chosen as member of the month of February, for his wiliness to freely share his knowledge with all members on our site.
    Congratulations Jessy!
63 and looking back at most of those years looking for whatever looked collectable.
    Still looking, still finding.
I was young enough to not remember my first point or my first fossil.
Born into a family who collected well before I came along.
Dad picked points in the 30's.
Have accumulated and lost, sold, donated/gave away many collections over the years.
I have shared my knowledge with groups and friends as well as complete strangers.
As I grew up my teachers would ask on Monday mornings "what did I find" .
    I rarely would disappointed them.
Many "Mid Term" projects would be on fossils and or artifacts.
Science was by far my favorite subject, followed closely by Literature.
Donations to schools leading field trips giving discussions on collecting it was just
a passion that would endure to this day.
As a treasure hunter I never excelled but did manage to be nominated
"Treasure Hunter of the Year" in 2009 by my piers at the Lone Star Treasure Club.
BTW: I own an operating 1966 D-Tex metal detector that I used back in the day.
I found Arrowheads.com just as many do while looking for information on a point.
I got what I was looking for and so much more.
As long as I can still get out, I will do so and share the joy of finding with all those who want to know.
"It's a rock" when on the ground. "It's a Specimen" when picked up and taken home.

    A philosophy to aspire to:
To be the man my dog thinks I am.
Look to the ground for it holds the past!
