Hello everyone, thank you for the MOTM nomination. I got into hunting artifacts late compared to most. I was self employed for awhile then lost everything. 8+ years ago I went back into the workforce, meeting a coworker who had been hunting for 30 years. He took me out a couple of times and I was hooked. He passed on a few years later. Turns out we have a mutual friend who I go hunting with. I only get out a couple of times a year/season, when I do, I make the most of it. Found some cool stuff, look forward to more.

Spending time here helps me in identifying more style, shapes and oddities to look for, and it does pay off. I enjoy the posts, finds, information sharing, ongoing threads and advice. The smart-alec remarks are most appreciated.

Happy hunting everyone and thank you all again,

    Mike.

Thank you WAH! I went thru similar experience (8 yrs ago this month!); think maybe after our misfortune, we didn’t stumble along too blindly to get here?!? …..nah, we supposed be, absorb collective smarts, participate in low and high brow repartee, enjoy new hobby and our new friends!

You sure did catch on quick to collecting culture! As semi-newbie, I complained that anatomy terminology of projectile body needed revision, maybe revolution; but you Wisconsin Hunter skipped semi-stage to mosey on out to large lithic Texas, picked points up like posies….. And you pretty funny too! Took me long time realize base important to type and therefore to date, but that red flip-phone post clever and revealing…!

I am glad you are here! Wherever are you doing at work table in picture? What are you making? 👍

Thank you everyone, thought I would have some fun with the flip phone for sure. Keep those eyes to the ground. I do find myself walking over random exposed dirt patches now.
