  • Bad Weather

    Heavenly Father
We ask for fair weather to come to our sisters and brothers in the northeastern states as they are besieged by bitter cold.
Father we also ask that you will hold them safe and deliver warmth in their daily lives. Amen

Don't forget the midwest... I don't know how Gary does it. Another thing I would like to add is the temporary halting of any further precipitation so I can get out and point hunt. We are getting drenched.

I used to go out and hunt beaches when the wind chill was -20 degrees. Found what was, and still is, my best quartz triangle in just such a wind chill. Took a good 20 minutes just to put all the layers on. Walked right up to the point, picked it up, walked right back to the car. We have close to those wind chills today. But today I'm not nuts. But you know what? If my sites were as good as they once were, and I was feeling lucky, I might still be that nuts.

Only got an inch of snow where I am in RI. Some rain. But enough ice to be a problem on the roads. But I would not know from experience. I have not ventured out to start the car. I'm not nuts for heavens sakes.

Definitely a good way to cut down on the competition!

Wasn’t to bad by 2pm but I didn’t really find anything and with all the rain and flooding I was shocked I did find a broken tip of a crystal point. Would of been a killer

It's coming. A snowy, icy, frozen version of hades on earth. The polar vortex is going to be bitter cold. Stay safe guys, don't get frostbite or hypothermia.

SurfaceHunter. They do when they are in Wal-mart! :-)

Gary, My mind drifted off to risque places for just a moment, but I deduced quickly that it had to be livestock. I am not totally in the dark about livestock.:-)

It makes you think. There were Native Americans there at one point. They had to endure the same stuff.
