He's back from the hospital, after spending nine hours there. They ran a gazillion tests on him, which all came back good. He is fine now, save a black eye, a gash on his temple and a good sized headache.

Good to hear your Dad’s gonna be okay. I live in Cold Country. Driveway gets Snow and Ice this time of year. I wear slip on stainless steel traction treads that slip over my boots when it gets dicey.

I've slipped and broken my tail bone a few times, lack of padding I suppose, lol! Still and all, unless there is salt on the sidewalks somedays, ya have to wear a football helmet.

That's a rough lick and unfortunate incident altogether, and must have been very scary for everyone. I'm wishing your Dad a speedy recovery.

I missed it too. Glad your dad is doing better. I’m sure the prayers helped him. This kind of hit home for me. A junior on our football team got a brain bleed from a hit in a game two weeks ago, and he is still in a coma, with half his brain damaged. Very sad here!

Still has a small headache, but Doc says that's okay considering what he hit. He hit a brick that had a small chunk taken out of it, and he landed in the depression of that chunk. Doc says that if it was a complete brick, he would have split his head open. He's done that before actually.
