    Thank you Hoss for posting that interesting article. I must say that none of it surprises me considering the length of the trade routes known to exist in the rest of the Americas in those days long before Columbus. And given the fact that the eastern most part of Asia is only 50 miles from Alaska at its narrowest. And as you probably know there are two islands (Little Diomede and Big Diomede) that are only about 5 miles apart right smack dab in the middle of the strait where people have lived for hundreds of years or more and still do. The Big Diomeders are Russians and the Little Diomeders are Americans and both are Eskimos from the same families who were separated for 45 years because of the Cold War.

      I found it very interesting myself if you click on the link that says  "See Images of the New Discoveries at the Rising Whale Site" you can see a couple of the artifacts.
