I grew up close to a mound site and always found it mysteriously exciting. Parents had to drop me off at all the events they sponsored. It was close to the place I had dance lessons, mom would find me walking the highway, checking ditches and wash outs....lol just in case! I must have looked ridiculous in my leotard and high tops...lol

Sorry, I don't have any pics of the pottery on display. Cahokia did have connections with other areas. Materials found in Mound 72 included point types and flint from areas such as Ok. and Wisc. http://lithiccastinglab.com/gallery-...xcavation1.htm
