  • Clovis in Michigan

A short video about recent finds in Michigan. Worth a watch.

Archeologists have found a small mountain of artifacts buried in a farm field that show the presence of some of the first peoples to inhabit the Americas.

Very interesting short video. FWIW, I found my only complete Clovis point on the edge of a circular depression of a couple of acres or so. This depression was in the middle of a huge flat agricultural field and was about 2 feet deep more or less. The field was left fallow until the next planting season. It was a couple of miles more or less north of the Tennessee river in north Alabama. It was the only artifact that I found. We use to call these depressions Pleistocene lakes or marshes that occurred during the late Pleistocene Era when the climate was much wetter than periods that followed.
