  • personal find from PA. id?

I found this artifact in Pennsylvania. By where, now a swamp that dries up in the summer. I can't find this one in my overstreet guide. Maybe it is a scraper or knife but the base is beveled in so I think it could be a spear. It does have a small piece missing in what I call the tail.
Any help would be great. I have had other pieces I've found in the area that were ided as early archaic if it helps any..
    It is pretty sweet though!

I am no expert but that looks kind of paleo?

To the untrained eye(Mine), it looks a lot like a Clovis, but the tip is a little more rounded than the ones in the Overstreet Guide 10th edition so that might make a difference

I was thinking maybe folsom or dalton. No flute hmmm? Tip Broken and reworked blunted to save length? It is a beauty what ever type

Well I definitely believe it's not a scraper,I can't really see if there is a flute,or if there is on the other side, but it resembles a Midland an unfluted folsom. The only problem is that that the size would be huge for the type. The best thing to do is have a good authentic specialist look at it.I would with that type of point.I haven't found anything like that though.Good luck.
