  • Wells in SW Arkansas?

Is the wells found in SW Arkansas? Do you think this is a Wells? I don't know enough about the Wells to know if this is even close. It measures 3 3/4 X 1 1/2 X 5/8 inch. It's a heavy stout artifact.

Clay would know. But from what I just read in my little book and from seeing Clay posting a few thousand I gonna go with no. But I'm wrong a lot. Thanks

I do think Wells are found in that area but from what I have seen I would say not a Wells.. Wells seen to be a much more refined point. Clay and Garscale would be better at this type though.

Greg this artifact is so heavily mineralized that I couldn't even guess at the material. There are no recent chips to give me a glimpse of the underlying lithic.
