    Any help IDing this would be appreciated. A friend found it a couple of weeks ago, less than a mile from my house in pasture land. Eastern New Mexico, De Baca County. Any info on possible age and lithic type would be nice too. It is 1 and 1/2 inches from broken tip to base. Thank you!

    Clean it up a little and some natural light , your pic is a little fuzzy

        That point has a lot of wear on it but better pics would help. Regardless, it's a nice point for a collection.

        cant help with the id of the style but the material looks a bit like basalt

        there is some nice knappable basalt in the region

        That long break on the one side is an "impact fracture " ... from hitting something hard and looks like woodland period ... some points just can't type because it may not be of "classic style "

        First pic of second cluster , it's has a long break down the side of it ... that's an impact fracture
