    Would you mind posting a couple of other angles and the other side? It absolutely looks like a core, but pretty big for any state where you have mounds and mushrooms this time of year.

    It is definitely a nice core but could have very well been used for digging. I have seen similar pick style “hoe” artifacts around here. Look for signs of use on the tip. Pics are hard to make a full accurate confirmation but it does look like it.

    I found this while out mushroom hunting this afternoon. I dont have alot of knowledge about artifacts besides the obvious ones. This looked interesting to me and appears to have what i thought are indications of the stone being "worked". I found it about a mile from the fields i usually walk when looking which have 6 confirmed burrial mounds on the property..... Documented by the state.
