    Hi, I found this in my local town Mishawaka Indiana US and was asking any help on Identifying it any further. It seems it was Pecked then polished. It is 3.5 inches x 1.75 inches and 1 inch thick.

      I put your two posts together. That is a rock unaltered by human hands. Keep searching there are plenty of artifacts out there yet to be found.

              Where did you find this? I'm guessing not in a creek or the St Joseph river. I'm in LaPorte County, Northern Indiana is littered with all kinds of interesting rocks courtesy of the glaciers.
              Searching the fields of NW Indiana and SW Michigan

                I found it in a Glacial rift while I was Gem hunting. It's a Real deep and wide drainage ditch that goes to the Glacial layer up towards the hills in Mishawaka Indiana
