Plummet?
Hi,
Found this odd shaped little object in Western KY and really didn't think too much about it, just knew I liked it...until the other day when I was looking thru one of my books by "Lar Hothem" Rare and Unusual Indian Artifacts, pg 253 and noticed something that looks very similar to what I have. Mr. Hothem states that it is a grooved stone ornament or acorn-like plummet. Do you think this could be what I have? Sorry the pics didn't turn out as clear as I'd hoped, would fire my photographer except hubby took the pics for me and I really should be grateful for the free help...don't you think. Shame on me!

Of course these were found near water..Yours gotta be a plummet.
