  • What type would you call this?

    From facebook.
I'm inclined to think there is no way it is from where they say it's from.

If I found that in eastern Ohio/western PA I'd call it a tapered stemmed bifurcate (according to "Ohio Flint Types by Bob Converse)
    Near the PA/Ohio state line

My first thought is Pedernales. Is it a Texas point?

It sure looks like a Pedernales from Texas. I have several and that one is spot on.

Where’d they say it was from??
Wandering wherever I can, mostly in Eastern Arkansas, always looking down.

Supposedly Indiana. I'm just not seeing it. My impression is Perdenales as well.
First he stated it was a Fredrick now calling it a Kirk stemmed. I have not seen any identifications or points shown that reinforce this well defined bifurcate as being a point found in Indiana.
I questioned and he has responded, we have kept the discussion civil just wanted to know your folks thoughts. Thanks

I was looking at a point exactly like that last night. Part of a huge collection on display at a local conservation club in Plainwell Michigan.

Sorry for the really bad pic. It was getting dark and there was a bad glare from the frame glass.
All of the points displayed were found on site or locally.
