  • Help identify Massachusetts point

    Hi all,
I am new to the forum. This point w as found in Eastern Massachusetts and I am curious about the type. It measures 3.5 inches long and is quite thin, made of grey rhyolite. I believe it may be a Brewerton Eared Triangle but am unsure. Any ideas?

I have been having difficulty attaching photos to this post, so I have attached photos to a comment in the thread.

Thanks for letting me know. I've been having difficulty uploading a photo to my post so I have attached photos to a comment. Hopefully this works.

what is an image widget? And is that what you tried loading the photos with? I tried to edit you post to make the pictures show up but it would not take? There are tutorials for uploading. There is a size limit of two megs . The limit is in place because this forum is photo heavy . Because it is photo heavy the 2 meg limit helps pages load faster.
Two ways to resize for uploading to this site is crop the photo or email the photo to yourself. emailing usually will compress the original to smaller that 2 megs.

I am not sure why image widget is appearing in text on the post. Strangely, I am unable to edit the original post either.

It sure is strange. Welcome to the forum that is an awesome point. Its a tough call on that point I cant tell if there are slight shoulder or is its slight damage. It looks early and might be a Vosburg . Is it thin?

Thanks! The point is fairly thin. The base has slight shoulders.
