Come on Tator give us some details! How did you find that bone? Creek found? Dug up? Is there any other bones you've found? How heavy is it? Looks like it could be a special one...

I didn't find it a friend found it a few years ago. I wish I would have found it lol. Wat I do kno is she found it in one of the bigger creeks in southeast Nebraska. I don't really have any other details but I will try to get more info. And it looked pretty special to me too that's why I'm asking n trying to get more info.

It appears to be the end of a mammoth or mastodon leg bone.

I'd agree. A very cool find, but not completely unheard of in Nebraska and other states.
              Hong Kong, but from Indiana/Florida

Right Joshua, as a matter of fact the mammoth has been designated as the Nebraska State fossil. Proboscidean fossils have been found in 90 out of Nebraska's 93 counties.
Over the years I think we have found and collected various fossil bones and teeth from at least a couple of dozen mammoth and mastodons from Nebraska.
