Third pic bottom left...saw marks?? Doesn't look mineralized. It's a good size and the part of the bone to use for a handle for a knife or adze..... WOI!?

Red I have seen cottages underwater in the Housy for years and years spring rains bring floods and stuff just goes in the river and settles down stream. I doubt that old ham bone is more than 50 years old.

ID:	350486 LOL guys there has been a lot of discussion of Old Ham Bone and Soup Bones Vs Something. This soup bone was found with a shell columnella adze inside it. Socketed adze. Flat side of the bone was lashed onto a stick. Inside and out, when the adze is taken out, it looks just like a soup bone but the ends looks ground smooth no modern saw marks. I have found two archaic knife handles old enough to be silicified/black/hard and both have notches in the bone handle with wear/damage on both sides where the notches of the point meet it. Can't find 'em.
