    Can anyone help I'd this type of clam shell?
    i found it around some pretty green Jasper maybe and other fossilized shell pieces .is this a freshwater species

      Its definitely an underwater clam species. Did you find it in or near water ?
      The chase is better than the catch...

      I have more shells than rocks, including various clam and oyster shells. You have an oyster shell; clams have different shape.

        It was found about 400ft above sea level. I have mbetter pics but the file size are to big. Also looking for the fossilized ones.
        also some beautiful greenish blue maybe what looks like jasper or jade

          I agree... looks like oyster to me....you may be able to edit your pics on the phone and scale down the size
