It appears there are important issues, beyond paleontology, that may make questionable the study of fossils from Myanmar, despite the excitement that has been generated by the rarity of the fossils discovered in the amber:
Side comment, have you ever seen one of the chicken breeds without feathers? I remember when Dinosaurs were lizards and birds were birds, but I see the connection now.
Looks just a vicious as a tyrannosaurus, only smaller.
CMD, a buddy of mine from college went on to study paleontology and refers to dinosaurs as lizard like avians. More bird like than lizard like, especially the bipedal ones. Hard to picture a tyrannosaurus with a feather boa on, but it's probably a lot closer than the leather/scaly hide I grew up picturing.
