    Neat. Appears to be a nautiloid ammonite.
    I keep six honest serving-men (they taught me all I knew); Their names are What and Why and When and How and Where and Who.

        Agree with Painshill have seen those on the ditchwalker a utube .look it up great video.
        We find small clam shells in the Chert in SW Georgia .
        always a little extra treat right .

          This looks more like a gastropod rather than an ammonite.
          I see no discernable sutures.
          What ever the case, paleo and archeo crossovers are alwaya cool.
          It is a "Rock" when it's on the ground.
          It is a "Specimen" when picked up and taken home.
