ID:	460398 Found this on river Saturday.....another bellerophon fossil to add to collection...this is interesting because it has been broke almost in half showing cross section of it..also looks like the critter in the shell fossilized too apparent in the caramel looking color coming out of the bottom of the shell......i could be wrong though.... hope you like

        I was trying to figure out what it was until I saw the flip side. Cool fossil, I've never found one here maybe a couple of teeth from animal's but that's all. Good eyes

        Well spotted. I would think the caramel-coloured portion is fossilised mud that infilled the shell, but it may well include a sludge of decomposed soft tissue.
