I think you have a very weathered fossiliferous material. I'm not familiar with the Lithics of your area. I have no doubt it is an Artifact. In the northeast we classify this a Koens Crispin or a Verginsville. Kim

Looks like Cohansey quartsite to me I hunt the place were it was mined preformed and traded you can pick up preforms by the bucket full their a lot of fossilized shell in it some weather's better than others I would almost guarantee that stone came from Greenwich nj
