  • Fossil tooth?

We found what seems to be a fossilized molar in a canyon in southern ca. Please help us positively ID it. Thank you

    Welcome to

Could we have some dimensions please? It helps if you put something in your pictures for scale. A ruler, or an easily recognisable coin.

[PS I have moved your post to this section of the forum. There is a re-direct where you originally posted, which will expire in one week and then the post will only be accessible here]

I keep six honest serving-men (they taught me all I knew); Their names are What and Why and When and How and Where and Who.

Yay, a tooth! Pain will know when you post size/scale (but prob’ly will not immediately offer answer to allow others’ curiosity drive them nuts and then to books!)

hmmm..... do I spy a stylid?
