ID:	552702 This scraper was found at a site in Sonoma County. Fairly certain this is chert which was imported into the site along with obsidian and other materials. It’s one of many rough edged scrapers from the site with chert being the second most widely used material after obsidian for such tools. Posting it here to see what the fossil people think. I’m basing the fossil theory on feedback from a couple other forums and my own ID’ing using pictures available etc. Thx.

    That's amazing. Looks exactly like leaf pattern so, surely, it must be. Nice looking chert too. That it's a scraper, makes it doubly cool. Fantastic find.

        I believe the coral is the fossil Gargonia or fan coral as it is now called.

        Yes, I would agree. It's Gorgonia, not Gargonia. These are soft corals rather than true corals, more usually referred to as 'sea fans'.
