  • Bone?

    I find what looks like a shark tooth in a field here in south eastern Ohio yesterday any ideas?

      Toe?? Deer toes/phalanges look similar but not as wide or large... Could be pig.

        They both look like sharks teeth to me, I have seen shells and sharks teeth on the beach with little holes like the second one. Looks like some kind of little animal ate away at it. Sharks teeth have that bottom area called the root that has a rough texture. The second one just looks like the enamel of the tooth has worn off or was eaten off before fossilization. Just my non expert opinion.

              Looks porous like a bone correct ? If so going with Tom’s doe toes . I find those all over this woods .
