  • Iowa Finds/Rugose Horn Coral & Brachiopod?

    Hello,

I found the following in Eastern Iowa, more East Central really on the banks of the Cedar River. The area is Silurian/Devonian-aged in finds. I'm not sure what exact species of horn coral this is. The other I think is a brachiopod, then again, maybe not, I'm sure someone else in here should know. There was a similar specimen in my Audobon guide, but I don't remember what it was at this time. Both fossils were very encrusted and I managed to clean them fairly well without destroying them.
