This rock is about 12” x 6” x 3”. Found it sitting in the creek in Brentwood TN. Really strange looking markings. Is it a fossil?

Found this in the creek in Brentwood tn. It’s about 12” x 6” x 3”. Looks totally natural except for the markings on one side. What the heck is this?

fossil casts. probably had a layer of crinoids in there that eroded out leaving the impressions in the rock.

Up on Clinch Moutain Bean Station TN. there is a place called Veterans overlook. There is a stone wall there 100 yards long. Its made of fossil rock. This is the name of the fossils. Arthrophycus alleghaniensis trace fossils I have been up there a couple times. Pretty cool place and an awesome view. Some pictures from Google. My photos are on an old phone. Not sure if this is exactly what you have but that rock does appear to have fossil casts in it.
