  • Horse tooth?

    My son found this while creek walking for artifacts. Most teeth we find are from cattle. This one is so different we looked at previous posts to identify. Painshill shared great info last year and that led us to believe it's a horse tooth. Are we correct?

    Also, it's quite heavy for it's size. Weighs more like a stone. Doesn't really look petrified though.

    That looks camel if I remember right.

      Thank you Garguy for your insight on this tooth. Living in central Iowa I never would have guessed Camel! I understand there were camels in the Americas a very long time to ago.
