  • Is it possible to identify these bones?

Hello, I recently found a washout on a ranch i have permission to look for points on that has a lot fossilized bones coming out of it, I collected a bag full to try and identify them(with permission from the owner). So far I have found out that the area I found them is in the two river formation, I'm thinking they are dinosaur, is there any way to know for sure? Here are a few examples, thanks Click image for larger version

Are you sure you don’t mean either the Judith River Formation, or Two Medicine Formation, both of which yield dinosaur and reptile bones?

Yes your right I meant to put two medicine formation, that's what got me thinking dinosaur bones.

Wish I saw this earlier, I was at Museum of the Rockies earlier today in Bozeman and would have asked the paleontologist we were watching clean fossils.
I know you San send the photos and they can try to identify them. Worth a call over there to get an email address for the right person.
As I was walking around, I was thinking it’d be awesome to stumble upon some dinosaur fossils while out point hunting.
keep us posted on what they may be.
I bet they’ll be able to identify the vertebrae at least.

I never even thought of that I'll call over there tomorrow and see what I can get figured out thank you, and I'll update as soon as I find something out.
