New fossil crab species discovered in Texas by forum member Stone2Bone. Jess thank you for allowing me to publish this on our page. The specimens are now housed in the invertebrate lab at UT Austin. The report on the discovery was recently published in PDF format . Just so you know this was named for Jess's wife Christine who has been patient, loving and supportive of Jess when he ventured out on expeditions of discovery. Here is a link to the PDF. This next part was borrowed from the Authors post on Jess' facebook page.

Just published: a large new species of crab from the Cenomanian of Texas,
Also a good example of the importance of the thoracic sternum in fossil crabs; it allows us to review the relationship with allied crabs such as ๐๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ค๐ข๐ณ๐ค๐ช๐ฏ๐ถ๐ด and ๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ฐ๐ฑ๐ฐ๐ค๐ฐ๐ณ๐บ๐ด๐ต๐ฆ๐ด.
Many thanks to Jess Boe for this remarkable find and allowing us to study and publish it!
