Mammoth Fossil Discovery On Plum Island

Plum Island is in Long Island Sound. This is a very important discovery. If this is just bone ahh so be it but if it turns out to be a kill site some important data can come from this. This one has me on the edge of my seat. During the Pleistocene Because of the mass of Ice the water levels were much lower globally. Long Island sound was said to have a Glacier above it that was estimated at a mile thick 22,000 years ago. The shear weight of it created the depression that is now the sound. I am really excited because it is an island that cannot be waded too that animal had to get there over the ice. If hunters were there this could be a great break through discovery.
