A primitive phallicism artwork from China

The primitive phallicism artwork was found in a site with some microliths, officials believe some sites were builded in 4000 years ago for this area. I had researched the little pits in surface, all of edge are neat, they are human traces, just one face is natural weathering.

That is awesome, most everything on this site is from the Americas but having people contribute to the site from around the world just shows that this hobby links us all together through the love of ancient artifacts!
Any idea on how old that is?

It is very cool...Ive always understood the oriental people were around for a long time.Wonder if could be older than our own Native American artifacts.Probably more than likely..Maybe its paleo...Crazy..

A very interesting piece. I assume it is a metamorphic stone? The Stone Age took place all over the planet, and many of the ancients became so skilled that their work is amazing. The Phallis was utilized quite a bit in the stone artwork of the Prehistoric Midwest in North America. Most of the time they were similar to this piece from China, in that it has a phallic form, but is not fully rendered. Most phallic objects were indicators of power and/or status. Many spatulate forms from the Mississippian Period mimic phallic form. It just goes to show that "man" thinks the same regardless of language, country, race or time.
