Here are some palm wood points that I brought back from Peru. The natives still make and use them. I can't remember the name of the people group who made them, but most of the native groups make similar pieces.

Hey Knapper.....is it the Ashaninka tribe.....does that ring a bell.....i am reading a book right now about some folks that are kayaking the entire length of the amazon river and speak to this tribe in peru......those are wicked looking points.....thanks for sharingBenny / Western Highland Rim / Tennessee

Hey Knapper.....its called Amazon Woman by Darcy Gaechter.....im about halfway into it and been pretty good thus far.......3 kayakers begin the journey somewhere in the highlands of peru where they believe found source of the Amazon.... then details the journey from beginning to end and the troubles encountered during the journey....so far been a pretty good book.
