  • Arrow heads from Peru

Here are some palm wood points that I brought back from Peru. The natives still make and use them. I can't remember the name of the people group who made them, but most of the native groups make similar pieces.

Yeah, I don't think it would be very easy to pull it back out.

So these fit into the main shaft to make a composite arrow,?...beautiful, Florida’s East coast natives used cane arrows...on occasion.

Yes, they did. It's a very common design with subtle differences between tribes.

Two of my best friends were Ashanika brothers. I have a few photos that I should scan. Most of our pictures were ruined by the jungle mold. I think my mom gave me these two arrowheads I doubt she remembers which tribe they came from.

Hey Knapper.....its called Amazon Woman by Darcy Gaechter.....im about halfway into it and been pretty good thus far.......3 kayakers begin the journey somewhere in the highlands of peru where they believe found source of the Amazon.... then details the journey from beginning to end and the troubles encountered during the journey....so far been a pretty good book.
