Got to see part of amazing collection of old beads from Thailand. I heard a story that over 40 years ago a temple was being built and when they were digging came across thousands of beads and would let locals for a small fee dig to help pay for temple . Some of these beads are from there along with two other sites in Thailand. I forgot how to pronounce them one of them is khlong Tom. He had some with a combination of Inuit and Thai stuff . Pretty cool stuff .

Pendant is ivory and is Asian. The teeth ones are Aleutian island stuff. Back in the 70’s a guy used to work in Alaska and Indians would trade stuff for beer/alcohol . I’ve seen some amazing stuff a couple years ago . My dad was caretaker of part of that collection after the guy died all carved bone and ivory artifacts , whales teeth , walrus ect, harpoons, pendants beads ect ect and then it passed to another collector . Wish I had pics .

Those are cool. I'd bet some of the agate beads were made in Khambhat India. There were lots of trade routes between Thailand & India going back centuries (religion, spices, and other trade, etc.)
Khambhat has of the most unique traditions of knapping going back 5000 years, the beads are knapped to shape from agate, then polished & drilled. This is the same village that makes all of the "dovetail" style bulk arrowheads you see on ebay.Hong Kong, but from Indiana/Florida
