I hope someone can assist me here. I've received and examined the Clovis points owned by Stan. ( A previous discussion ) They are all authentic, most are visibly authentic, without further examination. But I scoped every point, and to Stans delight, they're all good, bonafide, authentic points! I'm starting the paper documentation, but there's one exception, however. The red one is reported to be from Deal Island, Md., and I believe, heat treated Pa. jasper. It isn't heat treated Pa. jasper. If it was, the heat treatment would have obliterated the three tone color effect. It's tri-colored, red - dark red - with orange inclusions. I'm thinking I saw that material from down south, in the Ga./ Ala. area. Any ideas on the material? Thanks, Paul

It's a very nice point! I just can't recall where I've seen that material, with the exception of possibly way down south as I mentioned. Does anyone think it could be Citronella Chert?
