    These pieces have showed up at my site.Can't for sure say they have been worked.The bi-face is suspect though.This stuff is super abrasive and surely could have been utilized....mjm

      Looks to be some kind of concretion with either bugs or some other foreign material that landed on the outer surface before being ... lack of better words cemented in place. It sure could have been used as a prehistoric sandpaper, but that would only be speculation on my part.
      Neat, interesting and I really have no idea. :dunno:

        I know that I rarely find the stuff.I don't believe it to be used on anything like wood as I think it would have showed signs of wear.It might have been used on hide.Possibly even human hide like scratching an itch or removing callus.Hey how's that for speculation.he biface piece throws me...mjm
