I could take this material 8 days of the week   Only piece I've ever found and no idea what the material is. I believe it's a Jack's Reef, so maybe it's a jasper, but I'm not comfortable with that really.

How about oolitic chert from Pa.? Get's my vote as a favorite, but only piece I've found, on the Providence River in RI. Jack's Reef Corner Notch.

This hafted scraper is out of an opaque snow white lithic I believe is novaculite from Arkansas.

The banded obsidian from OR is without a doubt my favorite.  So much so that I might try to purchase an artifact made from it as a nice Christmas gift to myself.  Locally though I'd love to find a piece made out of Flint Ridge OH Moss Agate.  Very cool looking material

My favorite is probably the blue portion of BGT (Blue-Gray-Tan) Fort Payne Chert.  The artifacts made from it look like North Carolina Tarheels light blue, struck flakes are sharp as a razor blade, and it makes a glass-like, hollow, ringing sound.  Early Archaic folks at some sites in Middle Tennessee appear to have been very fond of it.

Hartsville chert on the bottom and Kremmling chert on top.
