  • Heres one for you Oregon/Nor'westers...

    My Wife just returned from a trip to Oregon in the Coos Bay area. She picked these up on the coast. We might get a tumbler and polish them. What kind of stones are they and are they worth polishing?

    Obviously no expert here Baba but I can see three right off that I'd like to see what they look like polished.

      They are worth polishing if you like polished stones, not too much value. All those may not be the same hardness and if not they will likely not ever get a good luster. If you look in the rocks minerals and geology section under the thread Agates you will see some I have polished and look all the way to the end of the thread because I posted two new photos. Also you will need enough rocks to fill the drum three quarters full or they will fall on each other and damage finish. The ones with blue in them should be some pretty rocks when finished.
