    I believe it is Alibates Flint it sources in the Texas Panhandle North of Amirillo.

      For those that have not visited the quarry it sits on top of a Mesa the tour starts in the canyon I was fortunate enough to meet a park ranger that had the passion of artifacts we had several conversations and one including Dr Stanford

        How neat to learn you've visited this place! I saw that it is near Amarillo, which is only a 2 and 1/2 hour drive from where I live. I knew about the buried Cadillacs near Amarillo (lol) but not this quarry. Have you visited Blackwater Draw?

        Not only half buried Cadillacs the real treasure is the horses sculptures that are around the city
